MCK Commissioner Chahat Bajpai releases posters for clay idols this Ganesh Chathurthi festival

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 27, 2024: Commissioner of Municipal Commissioner of Karimnagar Chahat Bajpai appealed to the people of the Karimnagar to opt for eco-friendly clay idols to worship during the ensuing Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations, which will be celebrated on September 7.

The Municipal Commissioner was speaking after releasing posters designed by HUM voluntary organisation here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that stressed on the importance of using only clay idols to worship Lord Ganesha and protect the water bodies from by pollution and using POP idols. She aslo urged the people to compost the flowers and herbs that are used in puja and not immerse non-degradable material into clean water bodies.

HUM founder president Dhanapuri Sagar said that they were distributing clay idol Ganesh idols since last 10 years to protect the nature from pollution. He said every year they were distributed 250 clay idols to the people of the town. HUM representatives K Srinivas, J Ramana, T Tirupati, K Venugopal Sharma, G Laxman and others were also present.
