NABARD trains SHG women in Maggam works for their self-employment

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, AUGUST 27, 2024: Women self-help group members underwent 20-day training on Maggam works under the Livelihood and Entreprise Development Programme of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in Yellareddypet.

Spandana Seva Society conducted the training with the financial assistance of NABARD for the training. The closing ceremony was conducted a private function hall in Yellareddypet mandal headquarters on Tuesday wherein NABARD AGM Dileep Chandra, Spandana Seva Society CEO Shoba Rani, MPDO Sathaiah and others participated in the valedictory celebrations and distributed certificates and stipend of Rs 750 to each participant.

Speaking on the occasion, NABARD AGM Dileep Chandra said that they had embarked upon an ambitious training in Maggam work to help women SHG members to turn into entrepreneurs. He assured further advanced training and help in setting up their units by supporting them under the bank linkage scheme.

Spandana Seva society CEO Shoba Rani said that they had trained around 18,580 womenfolk in various trades for their self-employment in the old Karimnagar district with the support of NABARD. MPDO Sathaiah said that these trainings would help the womenfolk to turn into entrepreneurs. Trainer Rekha Bhavani and others were also present.
