Doctors celebrate ‘Sankranthi Samburalu’ with zeal and enthusiasm in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 13, 2025:  Colourful rangoli patterns made with a variety of materials such as different colours, flower petals, fruits, seeds, dry rice, leaves etc captivated the visitors.

The lady doctors and their family members showcased their skill in drawing impressive and colourful patterns on the ground at the ‘Sankranthi samburalu-2025’ organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Karimnagar chapter at IMA Harithaharam site in Karimnagar town on Sunday.

The doctors took a break from their hectic schedule and participated in the Sankranthi festivities with lots of enthusiasm. They recreated the rural atmosphere with bullock-carts, du-du basavanna, Haridasu, bonfire (bhogi mantalu), making delicious sweets such ‘chakkera pongali’ and others by using the traditional firewood.

The doctors along with their family members arrived in their traditional attire and enjoyed the celebrations by playing kolatam and dancing to Sankranthi songs. The prizes were distributed to the winners of rangoli competitions.

IMA district president Dr Naresh Anamalla, secretary Dr S Naveen Kumar, treasurer Dr Ch Vijay Kumar and the organising committee of Sankranthi Samburalu made the event successful and memorable for the medical fraternity of the district.
