KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 25, 2024: Velichala Rajender Rao, Congress party Karimnagar parliament constituency incharge, said that he would strive to secure Karimnagar Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (KADRAA) on the lines of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA) for the protection of government lands from the land sharks in the district.
Alleging that the BRS leaders had resorted to illegal encroachment of government and private lands worth crores of rupees, Mr Rajender Rao stated that he would strive for the KADRA for the removal of encroachment of government and private lands and protection of the lakes and tanks in the district. He said that he would represent the matter with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the district Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar to strive for the constitution of KADRA and launch a special drive against the encroachments.
In a statement here on Sunday, Mr Rajender Rao alleged that the BRS leaders had encroached upon several government and private lands by terrorizing the people. Reminding that Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty had arrested several BRS leaders including Municipal corporators on the charges of encroachment of private lands in Karimnagar town, he said that the constitution of KADRAA would create fear among the land grabbers in the district.
He charged that the lands belonging to the Lower Manair Dam reservoir at Full tank level and below the reservoir were encroached by various sections of society. Charging that the BRS government had encourage the encroachment of the government lands, he said that he would represent the CM and the district Minister for the constitution of KADRA and launch a special drive for the removal of encroachments in the district including Karimnagar town.
