CM Revanth Reddy lays the foundation stone for Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, AUGUST 25, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the government has taken up the fight against the encroachments of lakes inspired by Lord Krishna’s teachings to Arjuna in Kurukshetra battle.
“This is not a programme for politics or political parties. The government has undertaken this programme with a will to provide better lives for future generations. We will not succumb to the pressure and take stringent action against encroachers”, he pointed out.
CM Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government stands for Righteousness in the spirit of Lord Krishna’s teachings. “Such a rare opportunity comes only once in a lifetime. I am fortunate to attend such a big programme as a chief guest. The heritage tower will provide spiritual teachings in the concrete jungle. The tower which is being constructed at the height of 430 feet is also a pride of Telangana. The construction of this tower will be completed in 36 or 40 months and the new building will also be inaugurated by me. It is a great occasion in the history”, he stated.
Reminding that the Nizam rulers had developed Hyderabad as Lake City several hundred years ago, he said that some farmhouses had been built for luxuries in the vicinity of Lakes and ponds which quenched the thirst of crores of people. “Waste water from farmhouses is being discharged into Gandipet and Himayat Sagar which have been providing drinking water to the city. Being the elected public representatives, we should not neglect. It is the reason, the government started protecting the lakhs from encroachments through HYDRAA”, he maintained.
The Government accorded priority to Education and health care, he said and requested the Hare Krishna Foundation to provide food in Osmania, Gandhi, NIMS and Cancer Hospitals. The government will provide the necessary facilities for the great cause.
