Doctors stressed the need for the inclusion of CPR in the educational curriculum
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026: Renee Hospitals, IMA Karimnagar chapter and the Alphores Educational Institutions celebrated the World Heart Day by providing training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in order to improve survival of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
At a programme organised on the premises of Alphores e-techno school in Kothapalli in Karimnagar town on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the doctors from Renee Hospital and IMA launched the CPR training programme for a healthy world. The initiative was aimed at educating and empowering individuals with the life-saving skill of CPR. They also stressed the need to include it in school and college curricula to help society and save lives from Sudden Cardiac Arrests.
The doctors explained that “CPR – or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating — a condition known as cardiac arrest. The goal of CPR is to keep the blood circulating to crucial body organs by mechanically compressing the chest. Immediate CPR can improve the chances of survival after sudden cardiac arrest by 5 or even 10-fold.”
The doctors also demonstrated the training on the conduct of CPR during emergencies to the students and enlightened them through video presentations about how CPR works in the beating of heart after SCA.
The doctors highlighted the importance of heart health and the need to adopt healthy lifestyle choices from an early age. The session focused on creating awareness about the significance of a healthy heart and the role of nutritious food, regular physical activity and healthy habits in maintaining overall well-being. Through an engaging presentation, the importance of caring for the heart and making mindful choices in daily life was brought to the forefront. The special assembly concluded with a message encouraging students to stay active, eat healthy and nurture habits that contribute to a healthier future.
