

HANUNAKONDA, APRIL 07, 2025: On the occasion of World Health Day, Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous) Hanumakonda, National Service Scheme Units-1,2,3& 4 and NCC, Health Club jointly organized a blood donation camp on the college premises with the support of Indian Red Cross Society, Hanumakonda on Monday.

The inaugural ceremony of this camp was presided over by the Principal of the college, Raja Reddy and the Coordinator of National Service Scheme of Kakatiya University, Prof Isam Narayana, who arrived as the chief guest and inaugurated the camp. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raja Reddy said that Kakatiya Government College is not only providing quality education to the students but also taking the lead in social service. He said that this camp has been organized with the aim of helping thalassemia victims.
Mr Isam Narayana said that the National Service Scheme Department of Kakatiya Government College are commendable for organizing the blood donation camp. He said that blood donation by students is like donating life to those in need of blood and that donating blood is a very good habit. On behalf of the Indian Red Cross Society, Madan Mohan and Motivator Srinivas collected blood units from the students. In this programme, the college NSS volunteers, students and teachers donated 45 units of blood. Vice Principal Rajneelatha, National Service Scheme Department Program Officers B Seetharamulu, Gun Singh, B. Sandhyarani, Gangisetti Srinivas NCC Officer Ramesh, Caretaker Prasuna, Health Club Convener Rohini and other faculty members participated. Among the faculty members who donated blood were Malathilatha, Ramesh, Venu, Saritha and others.
