

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 01, 2025: In a moment of pride and cultural celebration, students of Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar town, created history by entering the Guinness World Record book for their participation in the Kuchipudi Dance in Hyderabad recently.

The students, N Yashaswini from Class 7, N Sameera from Class 6 and P Devanshi from Class 4 had participated in a grand Kuchipudi dance performance that aimed to set a Guinness World Record for the largest Kuchipudi dance gathering and became the official record holders.
The event, held in Hyderabad, brought together thousands of young dancers from across the region, united by their passion for classical Indian dance. Representing our school with grace and discipline, the children showcased months of dedication and training under the guidance of their dance instructors.
Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Academic Director Dr. T.Lalitha Kumari congratulated the students for fluttering the school flag high. Principal Renuka Balivada expressed immense pride in the students, saying, “Our children have not only learned the art of Kuchipudi but also embraced the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and cultural heritage. This participation is a historic milestone for our school.”
Parents, teachers, and onlookers were left in awe as the children performed intricate footwork that defined Kuchipudi. The attempt was monitored by officials from the Guinness World Records, and the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and hope as the record-breaking number of participants took to the stage.
This event not only highlighted the rich tradition of Indian classical dance but also encouraged young minds to connect with their roots while striving for excellence.
