

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 01, 2025: Management of SVG International Private Limited, Karimnagar, has celebrated the International Labour Day with a difference by conducting a premier league intra-company cricket tournament on Thursday (May 1, 2025).

It saluted the hard work and relentless labour of its supporting staff. The management also acknowledged their significance and contribution to the smooth conduct of the everyday routine. In order to honour the services of labour, the management had conducted the first of its Premier League intra-company cricket tournament for two days on May 1 and 2, 2025. The two-day tournament was formally inaugurated by the conduct of matches from early morning, 6 am onward,s on Thursday.
The Premier League was conducted on the sprawling premises of Zilla Parishad High School in Bavupet on the outskirts of Karimnagar town. The ground was specially designed on par with IPL matches. Instead of cheer girls, the management used the DJ music to entertain the players and gatherings when there were four or six.
More than 100 players from seven teams will participate in this one-of-a-kind cricket tournament. The teams’ names are Gabbar Singh Gang, Bahubali Braves, RRR Warriors, Pokiri Power, Janata Garage Giants, Pushpa Panthers and Srimanthudu Squad. The management had provided all the different teams with various jerseys along with caps and other sports kits. The matches were being conducted from 6 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm. The mementoes were presented to all the partcipants.
SVG (Sri Venkatesh Granites) Private Limited Group Directors Arjun Karwa, Kushaal Karwa, Krishna Karwa and Karthik Karwa took all measures for the success of the tournament by making all arrangements on par with the IPL matches. They had also deployed video cameras, drone cameras and other facilities for the conduct of matches.
A rag-tag group of workers, who had not even heard of cricket, had played the game, depicting the popular film ‘Lagaan’ and entertained the gathering. The local villagers had attended in large numbers to cheer the players for their outstanding performance.
