KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 29, 2025: Students of Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar town, celebrated the World Dance Day on the school premises to commemorate birthday anniversary of Jean Beorges Noverre, a French dancer and ballet master known as the Father of Modern Ballet, with great zest and zeal on Tuesday (April 29).
Children came dressed in traditional costumes and performed the dances of different states to celebrate this special day. The school came alive with vibrant performances by students and dance teachers, highlighting the beauty of diverse expressions through movement.
The event began with a soulful invocation dance, followed by a few spellbinding performances representing the cultural heritage and modern creativity. It was a celebration of rhythm, grace, and emotion.
Principal Renuka Balivada lauded the efforts of the participants and praised the dedication of the dance teachers for nurturing talent and expression through the art of dance. Retired academician and writer Gandra Laxman Rao, Advisor to the school, extended his warm wishes to all on the occasion and emphasised the importance of integrating art into education for holistic development.
Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Chairman, and Dr. Lalitha Kumari, Director (Academics), conveyed their heartfelt wishes to all the students and dance instructors, appreciating their commitment to preserving and promoting the art of dance.
The day left the audience inspired, proving once again that dance transcends words and connects souls. Dance has played a crucial role in human culture and tradition for centuries, and to this day provides a platform for people to come together and appreciate its beauty and diversity.
