KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 13, 2024: In an ever-evolving world of higher education, gaining admission into elite universities in the United States of America has long been considered a pinnacle achievement for ambitious students.
The dream of pursuing higher education is being fulfilled with ease by the Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (autonomous) Karimnagar. The JITS has signed an MoU with Louisiana Tech University, USA and helping the students fulfil their dreams of studying abroad in the USA and settling in their chosen careers.
Accordingly, Louisiana Tech University, Director of International Affairs Mr Jay R Ligon visited the JITS campus and conducted an interactive session with the students under the banner of ‘Pathway to Louisiana Tech University, an interactive admission guidance programme’ at the JITS campus on Tuesday.
Interacting with the students, Mr Jay R Ligon said that the LTU in Ruston, Louisiana, is a prominent and highly ranked public university established in 1894 and known for its engineering, science, and business programmes. The programmes offered by LTU’s School of Engineering are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET), USA.
Educating the students about the importance of admissions and securing scholarships and graduate assistantships, Mr Jay said that the students should showcase their talent by presenting project reports for research and innovations. He also empowered the students on various fee structures, hostel facilities and availability of various academic facilities for the students with abundant experience professors in various streams.
He also clarified various queries during a one-to-one session with the students. Incidentally, there was an overwhelming response to the session with the auditorium packed to the brim with the arrival of hordes of students to listen to the US professor and chances of landing in US universities. The LTU would follow the students’ mandatory clearance of GRE and TOEFL.
Mr Ligon gave his Whatsapp number to the students and informed them to send their queries to clarify and help those secure admissions with ease. He also said that his university student ambassadors would assist the international students in easily securing admissions. He also said they would be holding faculty exchange programmes with JITS for the benefit of students.
JITS Secretary and Correspondent J Sumith Sai said that the college had signed MoU with LTU a few months back and planning to sign MoU with a few other universities in the USA to help the students pursue their dream MS and PhD courses in America. He said that the signing of the MoU would help the students land in the university without any hindrances and safely.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao called upon the students to utilise the opportunity and interact with the US professor and keep in touch with him till they land in LTU for their higher education. Principal Dr KS Rao, Dean PK Vaishali and others were also present.
