RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 11, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has found fault with BRS working president and former Minister K Taraka Rama Rao for reportedly abusing Rajanna-Sircilla district Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha.
Referring to the remarks made by the former Minister against the Collector, the Union Minister reminded that the Collector or Attender should work and study hard to attain that post. He informed the Collector, district officials and MLAs to retain the government lands encroached upon by the BRS during its regime in the state. He assured all assistance for the officials to retain the encroached government lands.
The Union Minister was speaking at a programme organised to distribute devices under the central government’s Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) scheme in the Collectorate in Sircilla textile town on Saturday. He said that they were distributing the devices worth Rs 69.54 lakhs to 322 differently abled people including 87 battery-operated tri-cycles, 85 regular tricycles, 126 BTE hearing aids, 80 wheelchairs, 127 walking sticks, CP chairs, special and other devices.
He said that the central government had distributed devices worth Rs 2.33 crore to 1,930 differently abled persons in the Rajanna-Sircilla district in the last two years and added that a large camp was held in Karimnagar last year, distributing devices worth crores to over 750 people. He said that the government had spent Rs 100 crore on the welfare of the differently abled in his parliament constituency.
Stating that he had never visited the Sircilla Collectorate or participated in any official programmes as MP as he was never invited by the then BRS leaders, he said that if he had ever visited the Collectorate on some official work the concerned official was immediately transferred.
Appealing the officials to take stern action against those who encroached on the government lands, he charged that the BRS government looted the government lands in the name of Dharani and privatized several government lands denying the same for public purposes.
Stating that the Rajanna-Sircilla district would be sanctioned with Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya very soon, he said that they would include Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada under the ‘Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive’ (PRASHAD) scheme’.
The Union Minister also inaugurated the Primary Health Centre in Pedda Lingapur village of Illanthakuna mandal along with government whip Adi Srinivas, Manakondur legislator Dr Kavvampalli Satyanaryana, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and others.
On this occasion, the Manakondur legislator, who is a doctor by profession, conducted the blood pressure tests for the Union Minister.
