Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar hands over appointment letters at the “Rozgar Mela” held at NISA Academy in Hyderabad

Bandi alleges unemployment problem is worsening in Telangana state

HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 23, 2024:  Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the unemployment problem in the state is worsening. Despite financial difficulties, he expressed concern that thousands of unemployed youth are taking years of coaching to secure jobs. He shared his experiences of seeing many individuals in Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, preparing for jobs while surviving just one meal a day due to lack of money.

He praised the Modi government for filling vacant posts in central departments regularly. He reminded everyone that Prime Minister Modi had promised 10 lakh jobs and has remained committed to that promise, with 9.25 lakh appointment letters handed out under the “Rozgar Mela” initiative. On this day alone, appointment letters are being given to 71,000 people nationwide, which is a matter of great joy.

Mr Bandi Sanjay was the chief guest on Monday at the “Rozgar Mela” program held in the auditorium of the Space Center at the National Industrial Academy (NISA) in Hakimpet, Hyderabad. The event was attended by NISA Director Sunil Emmanuel, Deputy Director Srinivas Babu, several senior police officials, over 300 job candidates receiving their appointment letters, and their parents.

During his speech, he highlighted that the “Rozgar Mela” is a favorite programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has kept his promise regarding jobs. The initiative, which began on October 22, 2022, continuously provides job opportunities. Currently, 13 “Rozgar Melas” have filled 8.54 lakh jobs. Including today, 9.25 lakh jobs have been filled, with only 75,000 remaining.

The Union Minister emphasized that when there are vacancies in government departments, the workload on other employees increases, making it difficult to deliver services to remote areas. With this in mind, the Modi government, under the Prime Minister’s guidance, has been filling vacancies promptly.

No previous government has consistently filled vacancies like this. This achievement belongs to Modi alone. Mr Sanjay Kumar acknowledged the fierce competition for every post and saluted all candidates who succeeded in the exams to secure jobs.

Under Modi’s leadership, India is striving to excel in economic progress. India has moved from the 11th position to the 5th position in economic development and is working towards reaching the 3rd position within three years.  By 2047, as India marks 100 years of independence, Modi envisions India surpassing the US and China to become the number one nation in the world. He urged everyone to contribute to this vision.

He recalled how opposition parties mocked Modi when he announced plans to create 2 crore jobs. However, government statistics and RBI reports reveal that India’s economy has generated 4.66 crore jobs. Modi’s government is known for fulfilling its promises.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, while the world, including the US, faced economic crises, the Modi government stabilized India’s economy through the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” package.

Programs like “Stand-Up India,” “Start-Up India,” and “Make in India” have transformed India from a country seeking jobs to one creating jobs.

The opposition initially ridiculed initiatives like “Jan Dhan Accounts,” but today, every individual without a bank account now has one, ensuring direct benefit transfers without any corruption.

Once a country that relied on imports, India is now exporting goods like rice and essential items under Modi’s leadership.

Bandi Sanjay encouraged everyone to work with a clear goal in mind. The 71,000 individuals receiving appointment letters today must work with dedication to implement Modi’s development and welfare schemes at the grassroots level and expand services to remote areas.

The ultimate goal is to transform India into a powerful nation and a global leader.

Modi’s vision is extraordinary. Even in 1999, during a visit to the US, he urged the Indian diaspora to bring five other people to India for tourism, stating that this would boost India’s economy through increased tourism and product consumption. With such a visionary leader, India is destined to become the world’s number one nation.

The Minister also highlighted the case of 1,200 Telangana employees who lost their jobs due to unrelated protests by postal workers in the past. He brought this issue to the attention of Prime Minister Modi and the relevant ministry, leading to the suspension being lifted.

He advised employees to avoid participating in unrelated strikes that could jeopardize their careers. New employees must work hard and bring pride to their positions.

The unemployment rate in the state is on the rise, and thousands of unemployed individuals are struggling, living in poverty, and pursuing coaching for years. State governments have failed to fill vacancies consistently, with exams being postponed for years due to paper leaks. In contrast, the Modi government has been addressing unemployment by regularly filling vacancies, promoting self-employment, and creating job opportunities in the private sector.

Finally, he urged the newly appointed employees to work diligently and contribute to India’s progress.
