KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 11, 2026: Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy has formally inaugurated the two-day 13th State-Level Sub-Junior and Junior Yogasana Sports Championship for Boys and Girls at Alphores e-techno school, Kothapalli, in Karimnagar town, on Friday (September 11, 2026).
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Narender Reddy said that the Yoga players from India should participate in the Olympics, which will be held in India in the year 2036, and win several medals. He said that yoga is the mother game of all sports and added that yoga would keep away mental stress and keep the players energetic and active throughout life.
The competitions would be conducted in sub-juniors in the age groups of 8-10 years, 10-12 years and 12-14 years. In the junior group, the competitions were for the 14-16 age group and the 16-18 age group.
A total of 900 sportspersons from 24 districts of Telangana state have arrived and are participating in the state-level Yogasana meet. A total of 30 sportspersons selected at the state-level Yogasana competitions in Karimnagar would participate in the national-level Yogasana competitions, which will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan state from October 3 to 10, 2026.
Telangana Yoga Association Chairman S Ravinder Singh, Karimnagar district Yoga Association president N Sidda Reddy, general secretary G Ramakrishna and treasurer P Swaroopa Chary. Telangana Olympic Association joint secretary G Janardhan Reddy, district Olympic association president T Ramesh Reddy, Telangana Yoga association vice president Kamalakar, Yoga Federation dispute committee member T Manoj Kumar and others were also present.
