TIRUPATI, AUGUST 12, 2026: TTD observed World Elephant Day (August 12) at SV Goshala, Tirupati, by performing special prayers for three female elephants—Lakshmi, Vaishnavi and Padmavathi—which participate in temple processions. The programme was held on Wednesday in the presence of SV Goshala Director Dr. A.V.N. Sivakumar.
TTD is taking special care of the elephants serving as part of temple traditions, with attention to their health, welfare and overall well-being.
The special prayers conducted on World Elephant Day reflected the devotion, respect and affection of devotees towards the temple elephants.
Goshala officials and staff participated in the programme.
