KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 20, 2024: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday night visited the Karimnagar RTC bus station and reviewed the arrangements for the pilgrims visiting the Medaram Samakka-Sarakka jatara by travelling in RTC buses.
The Minister was received by TSRTC Executive Director (operations) PV Munishekhar, RTC regional manager S Sucharitha, deputy regional manager (operations) S Bhupathi Reddy and others. On this occasion, the RTC officials briefed the minister about the arrangements made for the pilgrims visiting the Medaram jatara by providing 850 special buses from various parts of the integrated Karimnagar district.
On this occasion, the Minister instructed the RTC officials to ensure that the commuters have a safe travel in the RTC buses to the Medaram pilgrimage. He also informed them to operate more buses depending on the demand from the pilgrims visiting the Medaram shrine. He also advised the authorities to make all arrangements such as drinking water, proper shelter etc at the bus stations.
