Tiny tots visit Deer park, Fire station, Railway station and Post office in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 28, 2024:  The Tiny Tots of Bhagavathi High School, Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar, participated in fun-filled activities with unmatched enthusiasm and enjoyed field visits to Rajiv Gandhi Deer park, Fire station, Railway station and a post office in Karimnagar town on Thursday.

The initiative was aimed at the overall development of the students and refreshing their minds. At the Deer Park, the students had the opportunity to witness the beauty of nature.  From majestic deers to graceful peacock, parrots, parakeets and other birds.

They visit to the Fire Station provided children with a visual learning experience of how fires are doused by firefighters. They also learnt about the importance of fire alarms, emergency number and how to save themselves from fire. At the Railway station, the students had first-hand information about railway trains operation, one of the popular modes of transportation. The functioning of various positions in the operation trains such as drivers, guards, ticket-collector, trackman, signaling system etc.

At the Post Office, the students were shown computerized booking of various articles of letter mail, parcel mail, opening of saving bank accounts, commemorative postage stamps etc. They were also shown the processing of booked articles stage by stage for further dispatch to their office or destination. They also learn the duties of a postman and post office superintendent.

The students jot down various points in their notebooks for further reference at all the four places. Chairman B Ramana Rao said that the visit was organised as part of school curriculum to create awareness about wildlife, fire safety, transportation, post offices. For the students, the day was filled with laughter, curiosity and amazement.
