HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 09, 2024: Tiny Tots of The Play School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad celebrated the Telangana Bhasha Dinotsavam (Telangana language day) on Monday to commemorate the birth anniversary of poet, freedom fighter and social reformer Kaloji Narayana Rao with reverence and enthusiasm.
Mr Narayana Rao was a prominent figure in the promotion of Telugu literature and his role in the cultural awakening of Telangana language. The event highlighted the rich linguistic heritage of Telangana, encouraged the preservation and growth of the Telugu language.
As part of the celebrations, the students in their best attire participated in several cultural programmes highlighting the importance of Mother Tongue language. They also danced to the tunes of Telugu songs related to the event, describing the glory of Telugu Language.
Principal Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari addressed the gathering and encouraged the students not to neglect their mother tongue while learning other languages and wished all the participants and teachers for the day.
The chairman of the school, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, and the Correspondent if the school, Rtn. Hari Hara Prasad also expressed their wishes and said that the present generation would learn more about the importance of the Telugu language through such programmes.
We at our School believe that the upcoming generations of Telangana must be introduced to and identified with Telugu and stay connected to its progress through the ages. Overall, this was a very colourful, fun, and message-oriented event.
