HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 10, 2025: The Telangana Minorities Gazetted Officers Association (TMGO) was formally constituted in Hyderabad at a meeting at the Institute of Engineers, Vishweshwaraiah Bhavan Conference Hall on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Ziauddin Ahmed, a retired Superintending Engineer and Chief Patron of TMGO.
During the meeting, various issues concerning minority Gazetted officers were discussed, leading to the formal establishment of TMGO at the state level. The following office bearers were elected on the occasion; President: Mohammad Riyaz Ali, Assistant Executive Engineer, General Secretary: Mohammad Dastgir, Deputy Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Additional Secretary: M.A. Akhtar Farooqui, Section Officer, Department of Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Vice President: Mohammad Kausar Farooqi, Urban Development Authority, Warangal, Joint Secretary: Sheikh Rasool Irfan, Assistant Director, Statistics, Finance Secretary: Elite Rebblson.
The Executive Members: Md Shahid Ali Tabrez, Agriculture Officer, Md. Kaleem Uddin, Deputy Director, I&PR and Mohammad Ilyas Ahmed, District Minority Welfare Officer, Hyderabad.
On this occasion, Mr Ziauddin Ahmed, Chief Patron of TMGO, congratulated the newly elected office bearers and emphasized the need to strengthen the association at the state level. He urged all members to remain united and advocate for the rights of minority Gazetted officers while maintaining solidarity.
The meeting also resulted in the passing of several resolutions, including a decision to visit the 10 erstwhile districts of Telangana to ensure proper representation of minority gazetted officers across various departments at both state and district levels.
In his address, Mohammad Riyaz Ali, the newly elected State President of TMGO, vowed to fight for the legitimate rights of Telangana’s minority gazetted officers. He assured members that he would raise his voice against any injustice or discrimination they face. He also encouraged all minority government gazetted officers to become members of TMGO and actively contribute to strengthening the association.
