KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 04, 2024: Surabhi Welfare Association, a voluntary organisation has organised a sports meet for the mentally-challenged children of the Karimnagar District Freedom Fighters Trust Special School for the mentally-challenged persons and Vocational Training Centre, LMD, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
Surabhi Welfare Association founder Adluri Kantha Kumari, wife of Government Whip and Dharmapuri legislator Adluri Laxman Kumar, had actively participated in the sports meet with the specially-abled children by playing cricket, volleyball and other games. She entertained the special children and motivated them to play the games.
On this occasion, she also donated special toilets for the children, sports item, sweets and other eateries to the inmates of the special school. Surabhi president Pulluri Satyanarayana, local leaders Prabhakar, G Kanakaiah, G Vasantha, V Ravinder, Dr G Ravinder, Maa TAMBA president R Venkatesh, general secretary S Mahesh, special school AO E Balaraju, principal N Satish, vocational instructor V Ramesh and others were also present.
