PLTA demands TRSMA to respond on CM’s insulting statements against private teachers and schools

Asks why government teachers and employees are sending their wards to private schools for quality education

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 04, 2024: The Telangana Private Teachers and Lecturers (PLTA) association (Gurudakshina) has strongly condemned the statements made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy against the private educational institutions in the Telangana state and demeaning the teachers working in private schools.

Reacting to the statements made by the Chief Minister during an interaction programme with the promoted government teachers in Hyderabad recently, PLTA president Naramalla Vijay Kumar found fault with the CM for stating that private school teachers are not necessarily more talented or qualified than those in the government schools.

If that is the case, why the government teachers and employees and also the politicians are joining their children in private schools, he questioned.  As per the claims made by the Chief Minister, the government teachers are very talented and well-qualified, then why they are sending their wards to private schools for education instead of sending them to government schools, he asked.

If there are no qualified teachers in the private schools, why admissions are increasing in the private schools and declining in the government schools in spite of having talented and several thousands of teachers with lots of infrastructure, he asked and stated that the government teachers and employees, who do not have confidence of education in the government schools, were sending their children to private schools for better and quality education to compete in the present generation.

He also asked why the government was permitting private schools when the government did not have confidence in the quality of education in the private sector and the qualifications of the private teachers. He reminded that the private educational institutions were uploading the details such as the educational qualifications of the teachers in the DISE portal.

He also demanded that the Telangana Recognised Schools Management Association (TRSMA) should react to the statements made by the CM and insulting the private teachers and educational institutions. Demanding that the CM should withdraw his statements on private schools and teachers, he threatened to launch agitations against the Congress government. He also reminded that the private teachers are more in number when compared to the government teachers.
