All privileged darshans and Arjita sevas stands cancelled during Brahmotsavams
TIRUMALA, AUGUST 04, 2024: As the annual Brahmotsavams are scheduled to be held from October 4 to 12, 2024 at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary has instructed all the officials to gear up for the mega religious festival.
At a review meeting on Salakatla Brahmotsavams which the officers concerned held at Annamayya bhavan in Tirumala, the Additional EO review on the engineering works, checking the fitness of vahanams, laddu stocks, Annaprasadam, darshan, accommodation, security arrangements of TTD vigilance and security wing in coordination with the police, Kalyanakatta, transport, HDPP, garden, medical, health, Parahphenalia, Srivari sevaks etc were discussed.
The important days in Annual Brahmotsavams include Dwajarohanam on October 4, Garuda seva on October 8, Golden Chariot on October 9, Rahotsavam on October 11, Chakrasnanam on October 12. The morning vahanams would commence at 8 am and the evening vahanams by 7 pm.
As heavy pilgrims rush is expected for Garuda seva, the TTD has banned the plying of two-wheelers from 11 pm on October 7 till midnight of October 8. The TTD has cancelled all Arjita Sevas and privilege darshans including senior citizens, disabled, NRIs, parents with infants during the Brahmotsavams, SVBC CEO Shanmukh Kumar, CE Nageshwara Rao and other heads of various departments were also present.
Donation to SV Annaprasadam Trust
The TTD has received a donation of Rs 1 crore for SV Annaprasadam trust from Sumadhura Group CMD from Bengaluru and Hyderabad Madhusudhan. Mr Madhusudhan handed over the DD for the same amount to TTD Additional EO at the latter’s chamber in Gokulam rest house at Tirumala. Directors Bharath Kumar, Naveen Kumar and Srinivas were also present.
