Rains and gales left a trail of destruction, with uprooting of trees and disruption of power supply
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 12, 2026: Sudden rains followed by strong gales lashed several parts of Karimnagar on Friday afternoon, bringing much-sought-after relief from the sweltering heatwave conditions. However, the rains and gales left a trail of destruction.
The strong gales had uprooted several trees and damaged power lines, leading to power outages. The vinyl posters erected in various parts of the town were damaged and torn apart and entangled with power lines, leading to disruption to power supply.
The illegal vinyl posters and hoardings erected in various parts of the town were damaged and had become an obstruction to vehicle users. Several low-lying areas were inundated with flood waters. The Smart city roads were clogged with the overflow of drain water at Collectorate, RTC workshop, ZP office, Ramnagar, Mancherial cross roads, etc causing traffic snarls.
