KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 19, 2025: On Saturday (April 19, 2025), at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town, the students of Grade 8 have conducted a special assembly on two significant events.
As April 19 is celebrated as World Liver Day, my friends spoke about the importance of the liver and its regenerative capacity. They also spoke about the theme of the year, ‘Food is Medicine’, and encouraged all of us to make healthy choices. As the festival of Easter is approaching, some of my friends performed a skit where one was dressed up as an Easter Bunny. They also made 2D models of Easter eggs and explained how to make an Easter egg at home. The egg symbolises new life, like the message of the festival, Easter itself. Thus festival also brings some fun-filled moments for children.
Principal Renuka Balivada wished everyone who celebrates the festival a happy Easter. She also appreciated the students for their outstanding performances on various themes. Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polasani and Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari also conveyed their warm wishes to all the students and their families celebrating Easter. Through the assembly, we were able to understand the importance of healthy living and appreciate the cultural festivals of India and promote secularism.
