KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 17, 2024: Students of the Department of Microbiology, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College, Nagunuru, celebrated International Microorganisms Day, which is celebrated on September 17.
Under the guidance of Principal T Malathi, Vice Principal G Samatha, Microbiology department Head K Gita Rani, Faculty members D Srihari, Padmaja, Office superintendent T. Suresh Kumar, Shankaraiah, Venkateshwarlu, Microbiology faculty K Pravitha and others participated in the celebrations. The students explained that Microbes are ubiquitous so microbiology is important in every sphere of life. The faculty members updated the students about the new developments in the field of microbiology.
The students made posters on some models of cell types and an exhibition of microbes viz viruses, bacteria, fungi and algae as seen on petri plates and under the microscope were displayed. The college provided the participants with an enjoyable experience of activity-based learning.
