KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 17, 2024: The Department of Microbiology, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College, Sircilla, organized poster-making competitions for International Microorganisms Day, celebrated on September 17.
Principal P Rama Lingeshwara Sharma, Vice Principal K Lavanya, Microbiology Department Head G Swapna, Lecturer A Soniya and others participated in the celebrations. The students explained that Microbes are ubiquitous and so microbiology is important in every sphere of life. The faculty members updated the students about the new developments in the field of microbiology.
The students made posters of several models of cell types and an exhibition of microbes viz viruses, bacteria, fungi and algae as seen on petri plates and under the microscope were displayed. The college provided the participants with an enjoyable experience of activity-based learning.
