KARIMNGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2024: Students of Alphores educational institutions in various parts of Karimnagar town, celebrated the Telangana Bhasha Dinotsavam (Telangana language day) to commemorate the birth anniversary of poet, freedom fighter and social reformer Kaloji Narayana Rao on Monday (September 9, 2024).
Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy participated in the celebrations at Alphorse e-techno school in Kothapalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar town. He offered floral tributes to the portrait of Kaloji Narayana Rao
Mr Narayana Rao was a prominent figure in the promotion of Telugu literature and his role in the cultural awakening of the Telangana language. The event highlighted the rich linguistic heritage of Telangana and encouraged the preservation and growth of the Telugu language.
Kaloji, a social reformer who participated during the first Telangana statehood movement in 1969, was popularly called ‘Praja Kavi’ for his ability to articulate the struggles and aspirations of the common people. His poetry often focused on social justice, human values, and the Telangana people’s identity. His notable literary contributions include ‘Na Godava’, a collection of poems filled with wit, satire, and social commentary. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1992 for his literature and public service contributions.
Water dispenser distributed
On this occasion, Alphores educational chairman Narender Reddy, who had donated the water dispenser, formally inaugurated the same at the Alphores Junior College at Mankammathota in Karimnagar town. Principal Satyavardhan and others were also present.
