KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 23, 2024: Several student organisations have made a vain bid to besiege the camp office of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar in Karimnagar town on Sunday in protest against the alleged irregularities and leakage of NEET examination.

Student organisations belonging to the AISF, SFI, NSUI, PDSU, DYFI and others arrived in a procession court cross roads to the camp office of the Union Minister. However, the huge pose of police force have foiled the attempts of the student organisations to lay siege. There was mild tension and in a melee and several student organisations sustained injuries.

However, the protesting student leaders were arrested and shifted to the Police training centre in Karimnagar town and later they were released. On this occasion, AISF state president Kasireddy Manikanta, SFI state vice president Shanigarapu Rajanikant and others found fault with Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for remaining silent when the career of 24 lakh students was bleak following the leakage of NEET exam paper. They demanded the government to reconduct the NEET examination and help bright students.

Alleging that Mr Sanjay Kumar was having more interest on his political career instead of fighting for the students career, they demanded the Union Minister to prevail upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to conduct a debate (chai pee charcha) on the NEET.
