KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 16, 2024: Students of Alphores School of Gen Next, Vavilalapalli, Karimnagar, celebrated the Varalakshmi and Raksha Bandhan festivities on their school campus on Friday.
Launching the celebrations by offering prayers to Sri Mahalakshmi, Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy enlightened the students about the importance of Shravana month and auspicious festivals such as Varalakshmi vratam, Raksha Bandhan, Sri Krishna astami and others. On Varalakshmi vratham, the womenfolk perform Gauri vratam and the wellbeing of their family members and seek blessings for abundant prosperity. He also extended his blessings to the children.
Similarly, he also explained that Raksha Bandhan is a sacred festival and a bond between brothers and sisters. The beautiful bond between a brother and sister was celebrated with traditional values and fervour on the occasion. The students showcased a lively enactment along with melodious songs on the occasion.
The performance encompassed the varied emotions of affection, love, responsibility and sibling rivalries. The students gave a meaningful twist to the occasion by focusing on women safety and creating awareness of the duty of every citizen to ensure the safety of women everywhere. The girl students tied Rakhi to Mr Narender Reddy and also other boy students of the school and distributed sweets.
