
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 13, 2025: The environment club of Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna-Sircilla district, celebrated organic Holi on its premises on Thursday.

Principal V Vijaya Lakshmi motivated students to remain positive, healthy and natural. She stressed that Holi was a festival to celebrate nature in all its hues, so the colours to be used in Holi should be natural. She applauded the efforts of the club. On this occasion, organic colours prepared by the students from flowers of Rose, Hibiscus, turmeric, beetroot, Cassia, Mehndi leaves, flames of forest, spinach and other flowers were on display.
Departments of Botany, Chemistry and Zoology encouraged the students to prepare natural colours and celebrate Holi in a safe and environment-friendly manner. The faculty members also educated the students on the benefits of playing with natural colours.
The faculty members educated the students about ill effects of playing Holi with chemical colours, which may cause skin allergies, respiratory issues and damage to the environment. Vice principal Prabhakar, faculty members
