KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 22, 2026: N. Srilatha, a B.Com General student at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women (TSWRDCW), Nagnuru, in Karimnagar town, has excelled at the Karimnagar District Athletics meet conducted at Ambedkar Stadium by winning gold and silver medals in two separate events.
Srilatha secured first place and a gold medal in the 100-metre sprint and second place and a silver medal in the 200-metre event. Highlighting her achievement during a celebratory gathering, Principal T. Malathi praised Srilatha’s dedication, noting that her victory serves as an inspiration for women in sports and sets a high standard for the entire institution.
Physical Director Parveen Begum commended Srilatha’s rigorous training discipline and structural technique on the track, emphasising that this is just the beginning of her journey toward state and national-level platforms. Adding to the praise, Vice-Principal S. Padmaja emphasised that academic excellence and athletic achievement go hand in hand, commending Srilatha for managing her studies while bringing laurels to the college, and urging all students to balance education with extracurricular passions.
