KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05, 2024: Students of St George International School (CBSE), Karimnagar, celebrated Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of second President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on Thursday.
The celebrations began with Chairman P Fatima Reddy lighting the lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Radhakrishnan. On this occasion, he recollected the services of Radhakrishnan as a teacher and also the second president of the country. He also felicitated the teachers by presenting them with mementoes.
As part of the celebrations, the students donned the role of teachers as part of Self-Governing day and conducted the classes and administration of the school giving some much needed respited to the teachers. The teachers also participated in several fun games on the occasion.
The students presented several programmes to express respect towards teachers through several activities under the theme ‘My Mentor, My Guide’ to reflect their guidance, support and significant role in shaping the life of youth. ‘Thank you’ cards were given to the teachers along with this.
The chairman emphasised the need for great teachers over good ones who teach the children to manage their thoughts towards destiny. He offered his admiration to the teachers who balance the challenges of their personal and professional commitments. Principals Mr.Bhargav, Ms.Vasanta, and Mr.Niranjan, Vice Principals Mr.Madhu and Mr.Prasad Reddy, teaching staff, and students were present.
