KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 31, 2026: Students of St George International School (CBSE), Karimnagar, visited a Sericulture Farm at Thummanapalli village in Huzurabad Mandal on Monday (August 31, 2026), as part of an educational field trip.
During the visit, the students gained first-hand knowledge about silkworm rearing, their life cycle, mulberry cultivation, silkworm care, cocoon formation, and the process of extracting silk thread from cocoons.
On this occasion, Chairman P Fathima Reddy stated that the educational visit was organised with the aim of providing students with practical learning experiences along with classroom and textbook knowledge. Such field visits help students understand concepts better through direct observation and experience.

The farm representatives explained the various stages involved in sericulture and gave the students an opportunity to observe the silk production process closely. The students showed great interest throughout the visit, keenly observed the different stages, and actively asked questions to enhance their understanding.
The educational field trip provided the students with a valuable and enriching learning experience, connecting their classroom knowledge with real-life applications.
