MULUGU, MARCH 14, 2024: Stated to be first of its kind in the Telangana state, the Spices Board, Ministry of commerce and industry, Government of India, has conducted a Bootcamp (workshop) under the scheme of ‘Mera Yuva Bharath’ Sugandha Udyog Manthan, in the Government Degree Eturnagaram, Mulugu district on Thursday.
Assistant Director, Spices Board of India Vijeeshna V participated as Chief guest, Director of National Chillies Board of Telangana region Nasireddy Sambashiva Reddy, Mulugu District Industrial Board General Manager Suresh Kumar Shrista, SBI regional manager Abdul Raheem Shaikh, SBI Mulugu branch manager B Janardhan, District Resource person, Telangana State Food processing society, B Srinath participated in the workshop.
Government Degree College, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Career Guidance Cell organised the programme. Principal J Chinna called upon the students to utilise the opportunities and turn into entrepreneurs by tapping the available natural resources as the region is famous for cultivating the chillies. IQAC coordinator M Ravinder, faculty members Swamy, Renuka, M Vijayalakshmi and others were also present.
Vijeeshna empowered the students about the schemes being offered by the Spices Board of India for the export of the local spices by value addition and branding the product. The Spices board of India handed over certificates to the participants of the Bootcamp.
