Special Guests from Telangana invited to 78th Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort

HYDERABAD, AUGUST 14, 2024: The 78th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort will include a diverse group of special guests representing various societal sectors from Telangana State, such as farmers, youth, women, and students.

The guest list comprises representatives of farmer producer organizations (FPOs), Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and drone didi/lakhpati didi. These special guests have been invited in recognition of their efforts towards empowering the country.

V Greshitha, a 10th-standard student at Telangana Gurukula School in Nelakondapalli mandal of Khammam district, expressed her delight at being invited to the Red Fort celebrations. Kura Sujatha, a teacher at Telangana Model School in Odela mandal of Peddapalli district, expressed her happiness at receiving this rare opportunity from the central government.

In May 2024, she took part in a national-level Prerana event in Gujarat and played a role in cultivating creativity in the students. Shashank Vishwanath, a resident of Amistapur in Mahabubnagar district, also conveyed his happiness at receiving a special invitation.
