Siddartha Schools’ Students celebrate National Science day with enthusiasm

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 28, 2024: Students of Siddartha high schools in various parts of Karimnagar town celebrated the National Science Day by actively participated in the ‘Sci-Zone-2024’, a science exhibition displaying their scientific temperament on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the students presented various science exhibits and explained to the visitors in true spirit about the importance of science in daily lifestyle. They designed some thought-provoking models such as earthquake alarm systems, solar power generation, smart farming, global warming, human digestive system, diabetic test etc.

Schools chairman Dasari Sripal Reddy inaugurated the science exhibition and paid floral tributes to Sir CV Raman. Later, he visited and every science exhibit displayed by the students and interacted with them. He informed that National Science Day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect. National Science Day is observed on February 28 every year across the country to mark and celebrate the contributions of scientists towards the development of India.

On February 28, 1928, CV Raman announced the discovery of the Raman Effect and for it, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. The theme for this year’s National Science Day celebration is “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat.”
