Shubhashree wins national award, to showcase her innovation to President and set to visit Japan

KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20, 2024: Shubhashree Sahu a student of Paramita Heritage School, Karimnagar, Telangana has won the prestigious Inspire Award Manak National award in the 11th National level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) 2024 conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in collaboration with the National innovation foundation (NIF), government of India. This national project competition was conducted at Pragati Maidan New Delhi from September 17 to 19, 2024.

The felicitation award ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on September 19, 2024. The chief guest of the event Namitha Gupta, the Inspire award Manak head and senior Scientist, Abhay Sahasra Budhe, the Chairman of the National Innovation Foundation, Abhar Karandikar, the secretary, department of Science and Technology and Aravind Ranade, the director of NIF presented the award to the students.

A total of 350 students from all the states across the country have participated in this national exhibition. Out of these 350 students only 31 students have been felicitated as the winner of the National Science exhibition. Subhashree is only the sole winner from the entire Telangana state who has received this prestigious award.

As a national winner, Subhashree will participate in the Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FINE) at Rashtrapati Bhavan and will showcase her innovation to President Droupadi Murmu in January 2025.

Also these students may have the opportunity to visit Japan under the Sakura Exchange program in April 2025. These projects may also get their patent rights for their products.

Shubhashree under her guide  Mr. Lalit Mohan Sahu first presented her innovation ‘Multi-Functional Eco-Friendly Agro Machine’ at district level Inspire Award Manak science exhibition from which she was elevated to the state level and subsequently, she was elevated to the national level exhibition. Only 26 projects from the entire Telangana state including Subhashree’s sole project from the entire Karimnagar district have showcased their innovations at the National level Inspire  Award exhibition.

Under the guidance of her guide Mr.Lalit Mohan Sahu,Shubhashree has made an effort to address some of the main issues of the farmers by developing an eco-friendly, multifunctional, low cost and portable agricultural machine. This designed machine can function efficiently with four separate operations of threshing and grain separating, straw cutting used as fodder, winnowing and bag stitching in a single process. The designed model can be operated through solar power thereby eliminating the factors like use of electricity,unit functionality and huge expenditure. The child’s innovation was appreciated by many for its social utility.

Shubhashree has received many great achievements in her name for her innovation. She has been conferred with the Young Achiever Award-2023 from the Honourable Governor of Telangana for her contribution to Scientific innovation. She is the winner of the VIVo -Ignite Award 2023 and OLL-Skill Titan 2023. Subhashree has received the Spark Innovation award from Kvrss Society for the academic year 2023.She has also been  invited to participate in CBSE National Skill Expo at New Delhi.Other than these she has She has also been honoured as the winner of the CBSE National Science Exhibition 2023 and also invited to participate in National Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani(R.B.V.P) organized by the National Council Of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) 2023 at Pune.

On this occasion, E Prasad Rao the Chairman of Paramita Group of Schools, Board of directors Mrs. Prasoona, Mrs. Rashmitha, Mr.Ramna, Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Anukar Mr. VUM Prasad, Mr. Vinod and the Principal Mr.Janmanth Rao, pinnacle head Gopikrishna, Coordinators and staff members of the School appreciated Shubhashree for her great achievement.
