
WARANGAL, JULY 04, 2025: P Laxma Reddy, Senior journalist and research scholar in English at Kakatiya University, Warangal, has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree for his thesis titled “Advertisements – A Stylistic Study”.
He carried out the research under the supervision of Prof. V. Srinivas (Retd.) of the Department of English, KU, Warangal. The study aimed to establish that advertisements are an integral part of creative literature.

Laxma Reddy, who is currently serving as Special Correspondent with an English national daily (The Hindu) in Hyderabad, has nearly two decades of experience in both print and electronic media. A native of Munjampalli village in Endapalli mandal of Jagtial district, he was born to humble farming parents, Pandilla Narsimha Reddy and Radhamma.
He earned his Master’s degree in Communication and Journalism (MCJ) in 2004 from Arts College, Osmania University. He began his journalistic career with an English newspaper in Hyderabad as a trainee reporter in 2006, soon after completing his MA in English from Nizam College, Hyderabad. In addition to reporting, Laxma Reddy has a passion for photojournalism.
