KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 29, 2024: The Satavahana University non-teaching staff association members have staged a dharna in front of the administrative block on the premises of university as part of the ‘Demands day’ urging the government to resolve their long-pending issues on Thursday.
Association president and assistant registrar Y Kishore and other leaders P Prasad, Bheemaiah, T Rajeshwari, Narsaiah, Fasiuddin, outsourcing employees association president Santosh, other leaders Maruthi, Srikanth, Jagan, Madhuri, Shekhar and others participated in the dharna.
They were demanding the government to abolish the Contributory pension scheme and reintroduce old pension scheme, regularization of outsourcing employees, release of four DAs, nomination of non-teaching staff in the university Executive council, EHS facilities on par with government employees and other demands. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the registrar Varaprasad.
