KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 04, 2024: In an ambitious drive to promote green energy, Karimnagar Postal department has taken a significant leap towards achieving the target of 1 crore households under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, the scheme is designed to provide subsidies for households to install solar panels on their roofs.
Karimnagar Division Postal Superintendent K Shivaji informed the people of Karimnagar district to avail this ambitious scheme by registering with the nearest post offices in the district on or before February 8. He said that the government would provide a subsidy of Rs 30,000 for One Kilowatt capacity solar rooftop panels, Rs 60,000 for 2KWs capacity, 3KWs and above Rs 78,000 subsidy.
