
HYDERABAD, MAY 28, 2025: The Hyderabad-based prominent voluntary organisation, Ramky Foundation, has been honoured with the prestigious Tuskar Award for excellence in CSR. The Foundation’s President, M. V. Ramireddy, received the award from a senior Congress leader and MP, Shashi Tharoor, at a ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The award function was organised under the aegis of the Indo Continental Trade and Entrepreneurship Promotion Council. Renowned businesses and voluntary organisations from across India participated in the event. Ramky Foundation received the award in recognition of its notable services during the financial year 2024–25 in areas such as Environmental conservation, Education, Healthcare, Skills training for underprivileged youth and Women empowerment

“We are humbled by the Tuskar Award. It is an inspiration as well as a reminder to take up many more projects,” Ramireddy said in a press release on Tuesday. In collaboration with the Ramky Group of Companies, the Foundation is associated with both government and private sector bodies and operates extensively in 20 states across India.
In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal, the Foundation has provided livelihood opportunities to over 5,000 tribal families through its community development programs. In states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, it has adopted government schools and provided essential infrastructure and amenities.
In Odisha, Kerala, Tripura, and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, it has facilitated free medical services via mobile health vans. The Foundation also offers free skills training to unemployed youth, leading to placements in both government and private sector organisations. Nearly 2,000 individuals have been employed through this initiative.
Ramireddy noted that Shashi Tharoor appreciated and congratulated the Foundation’s impactful services. He further stated that their services are expanding notably in northeastern states, and the Foundation aims to spend ₹100 crore during this financial year on various social development initiatives.
