KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024: The Karimnagar district postal department has invited applications for the Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana Scholarships for the academic year 2024-25.
In an official release here on Tuesday, Karimnagar Divisional Postal Superintendent K Shivaji said that the students of sixth to ninth class studying in recognised schools in the integrated Karimnagar district with a good academic record and interest in philately (stamp collection) are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The postal department would provide a scholarship of Rs 6,000 per annum which would be released in four installments every quarter.
The award was instituted to encourage philately among students and take it up as a hobby. The Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana (Scholarships for Promotion of Aptitude and Research in Stamps as a Hobby). The last date for applying is September 13. Further details can be obtained from the nearest post office or official postal department website.
