HANAMKONDA, JANUARY 06, 2025: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar along with Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Konda Surekha and others formally introduced a fleet of 50 electric super luxury buses on various routes of TGSRTC in Hanamkonda district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prabhakar said that the TGSRTC had sanctioned 112 electric buses to Hanamkonda district and they had formally launched 50 e-buses on Monday. In the second phase, another 25 buses would be launched before the Sankranthi festival and later all the remaining buses would be introduced to the fleet of TGSRTC in the district.
He said that the Congress government had promised to provide free bus transportation facilities to the womenfolk within 48 hours after attaining power. Stating that the occupancy ratio (OR) had increased considerably in the RTC buses, he attributed the success to the team efforts made by the RTC employees.
The Ministers also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Traffic awareness children’s park in Hanamkonda town as part of the National Road Safety Month celebrations at the Government High School, in Hanamkonda. On this occasion, the Minister for Transport empowered the students on the importance of traffic signals and other rules and regulations to prevent accidents. MP Kadiam Kavya, MLAs Nayini Rajender Reddy, Revuri Prakash Reddy, Nagaraju, Finance Commission chairman Rajaiah, Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudha Rani and others were also present.
