NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana has undertaken extensive plantation drives since its inception to develop a greenbelt in and around the plant premises.
As part of its continued commitment to sustainable development, NTPC Telangana inaugurated a plantation initiative on land affected by saline soil and uneven terrain, which had previously hindered plant growth. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TFDCL), which undertook land levelling and site readiness near Telangana Plant ash pond for green belt development. The land was prepared for plantation through good earth layering and soil conditioning using gypsum and manure.
NTPC has entrusted the Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TFDCL) with the task of planting 33,000 saplings of different varieties of native species in 33 Acres.
