Orientation programme for Class X students and their parents on CBSE exams conducted at SNS Ameerpet

HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 26, 2024: An orientation programme for the students of class X and their parents was conducted at Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.

The session was led by Principal Dr Lalitha Kumari Thota, who provided valuable insights into the academic year ahead.  The principal presented a detailed overview of the future course of action, including the scheme for exams and an explanation of percentile calculations for subjects. She also highlighted the importance of competency-based questions and the weightage of marks for these.

Dr Lalitha Kumari motivated the students with practical tips for exam preparation, emphasizing the effective use of time and creating a balanced study schedule. She encouraged students to maintain a fixed timetable and avoid distractions. For the parents, she provided guidance on how to support their children without adding stress, advising them to refrain from pressuring their children to study constantly. She also emphasized the significance of a nutritious diet, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and mindfulness practices like meditation to reduce stress.

The Principal also shared that students who performed well in the ANTHE (Akash National Talent Hunt Examination), conducted by Aakash Institution were awarded medals and certificates for achieving good ranks. This recognition is part of the school’s collaboration with Aakash Institution, aimed at enhancing student’s academic prospects.

Additionally, she also discussed the revision test timetable as well as the Board examination schedule. The session was well-attended by parents, who expressed their commitment to supporting their children’s academic journey. Overall, the orientation was an informative and productive session for both students and parents.
