A Reflection of the Indiramma Government’s Vision – Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu
HYDERABAD, MAY 26, 2025: Providing accident insurance of over one crore rupees to electricity workers is a historic milestone in the country, said Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu. Speaking on Monday morning at Praja Bhavan, the Deputy CM addressed the gathering while handing over a cheque of one crore rupees as accidental insurance policy to the family members of Jogu Naresh, who lost his life in an accident while on duty under NPDCL, along with a compassionate appointment letter to Naresh’s wife Sushma in the Electricity Department.

He stated that awarding such a high-value accident insurance cheque to an electricity worker was made possible only under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Indiramma government. He emphasized that no previous government had ever thought or worked for the welfare of workers in such a significant way, and that this was only possible after their government came into power.
Providing both accident insurance and a compassionate appointment reflects the government’s vision, action, and humane approach, the Deputy CM said. He recalled that the accident insurance scheme was first introduced in Singareni and later extended to the electricity departments.
The provision of accident insurance worth over one crore rupees instills a new sense of security among all workers in the electricity department, he noted. The Deputy CM urged electricity employees to serve the people of the state with dedication.
He also congratulated NPDCL CMD Varun Reddy for successfully implementing the government’s vision. The event was attended by government advisor Vem Narender Reddy and senior officials from the electricity and banking sectors.
