

HANAMKONDA, The Department of Food and Nutrition, under the enthusiastic banner of the Diet and Delight Club, in collaboration with the Women Empowerment Cell and IQAC, successfully organized the “Nutrizen 2K25 Marathon” — a spirited 2km awareness rally held on April 9, 2025, between 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM. The event was conducted in observance of World Health Day (April 7), with the inspiring theme: “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures”, focusing on ending preventable maternal and newborn deaths while promoting women’s long-term health.

The rally saw active and enthusiastic participation from esteemed dignitaries and the academic community, including: Founder – Dr. Ch. Devender Reddy, Director Academics – Ch. Vahini Devi, Principal –.A. Sheshachalam, Vice Principal – P. Hrendar Reddy, IQAC Coordinator – G. Raja Prasad, Dean of Life Sciences – G. Vikram, Women Empowerment Cell Convenors – Mrs. K. Himabindu and Mrs.S. Rajitha, Diet and Delight Club Convenor – Mrs.M. Lakshmi Poojitha and all Heads of the Departments.
The event also witnessed overwhelming involvement from the staff and students of the Department of Food and Nutrition, who championed the cause with great enthusiasm.
The 2km rally was flagged off with a burst of energy, as participants raised thought-provoking slogans that resonated with the theme, such as: “Strong mothers, healthy nations!”, “Safe births, brighter futures!”, “Care for moms, care for all!”, and “Empower women, nurture the future!”
The rally not only served as a platform for health awareness but also fostered a sense of unity, empowerment, and social responsibility within the academic community. It successfully highlighted the importance of early health interventions, maternal care, and women’s well-being in shaping a healthier future for all.
