

MANGALURU, MARCH 22, 2025: The Annual Day Celebration, UDAAN 2K25, organized by NITTE USHA INSTITUTE OF NURSING SCIENCES (NUINS), was held on Friday evening in the University Grounds on Paneer Campus. The event was presided over by Pro-Chancellor (Admin) of NITTE (Deemed to be University) Vishal Hegde, and the chief guest was Senior Consultant & former Joint Secretary of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, K S Bharati. Presiding over the function, Pro-Chancellor (Admn) of NITTE (Deemed to be University) Vishal Hegde exhorted the students to strive for excellence in their academic and professional pursuits.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of NUINS Prof Fatima D’Silva presented a comprehensive report on the Institute’s progress and accomplishments and the achievements over the past year. The event featured the official release of the college magazine ‘DARPAN 2K25’ by the dignitaries, along with a book titled ‘Professionalism, Professional Values, and Ethics, including Bioethics for B.Sc. Nursing’ authored by Veeresh Kademani, Theja B.C. Senior Consultant and former Joint Secretary of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi K S Bharati was honored for her remarkable contribution to the nursing profession. Meritorious students were recognized through the distribution of cultural and academic awards. The Dean’s Honour Award was presented to a BSc Nursing student Sister Jeevitha Lobo and a GNM student Rolwyn Rohan D’silva for their exceptional leadership skills and outstanding overall performance in their respective programs. Prof. Sabitha Nayak and Cleeta Aniline Pinto also spoke on the occasion.
