

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 14, 2025: The 135th Jayanthi of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Ambedkar Park, PTS, NTPC Ramagundam, on Monday.

Mr Alok Kumar Tripathi, GM (O&M) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, Mr Tripathi emphasized the need to follow Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of equality, unity, and social justice. He remarked that as India moves towards a barrier-less and progressive future, the true tribute to visionaries like Dr. Ambedkar lies in transforming their dreams into reality through collective contribution.
Central NBC Leader Babar Saleem Pasha, who also addressed the gathering, echoed the call for unity and brotherhood to realize the ideals of Baba Saheb. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal role in framing the Constitution of India, laying the foundation for a robust democratic system.
The event was attended by B.K. Sikdar, HoHR, along with representatives from the NTPC SC/ST Welfare Association, NTPC Mazdoor Union (NMU), NTPC Executive Association of Ramagundam & Telangana (NEAR), employees from NTPC and CISF, and their families. The celebration served as a moment of reflection on the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, inspiring all to strive for an inclusive and equitable society.
Similarly, the LIC of India Karimnagar division also celebrated Dr Ambedkar’s jayanthi with reverence in Karimnagar town. The celebrations began with LIC senior divisional manager SV Prasad Rao and others garlanding the portrait of Ambedkar.
SC\ST welfare association leader Deva Singh, Walik sangham leader Madhu Kumar, OBC sangham leader Sathaiah, ICEU leader Basaveshwar, division leaders Rammohan Rao, Srilatha, SC\ST sangham leader Shivaranjan Srinivas, DO unit leaders Mahesh, Prabhakar Chary, branch one leaders Srinivas and others were also present.
The PRTU Karimnagar district unit paid floral tributes to the statue of Ambedkar at Rekurthi in Karimnagar town. District president gone Srinivas, district general secretary Kethari Tirupathi Reddy, state honourary president P Raj Reddy, Peddapalli district president Ch Srinivas and general secretary P Kishan, state associate president P Venugopal Rao and others participated in the celebrations.
