RAMAGUNDAM, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana celebrated Engineers’ Day 2026 with enthusiasm and fervour, commemorating the invaluable contribution of engineers towards technological advancement, strengthening the power sector and nation-building on Wednesday. The programme was organised by the NTPC Executive Association (R&T), Ramagundam.
The programme commenced with the welcome and seating of the Chief Guest, Dr. Chandramouli Gaddamangu, Padma Shri Awardee, Guest of Honour Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, ED (R&T), and other dignitaries. The ceremonial proceedings began with floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose birth anniversary is observed as Engineers’ Day in India, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The gathering thereafter rendered the NTPC Geet with a spirit of pride and respect.
The highlight of the programme was the keynote address by Dr. Chandramouli Gaddamangu, who shared his experiences and inspiring thoughts, emphasising the significance of innovation, excellence, continuous learning and the role of engineers in nation-building. Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, ED (R&T), also addressed the gathering and motivated the engineers with his insightful and inspirational words.

Adding to the celebratory spirit, a stand-up comedy performance was organised for the attendees, providing an engaging and entertaining interlude. This was followed by the Engineers’ Day Quiz 2026 Prize Distribution, wherein the winners were felicitated with awards and certificates in recognition of their participation and achievement.
The programme also featured the felicitation of the dignitaries, with mementos and shawls being presented by the office bearers of NEAR (R&T) as a mark of respect and appreciation.
The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Shri P. Viswanath, President, NEAR (R&T), who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, management, organisers and all the participants for contributing to the successful celebration of Engineers’ Day 2026.
